Happy new year, girl! and lord, don’t know why i didn’t think of it either, the perimenopause thing. we’re the same age, i’m going through it and never thought about maybe that was my problem for the last few years as well. welcome to it, eh…lol.

dark knight was a good movie and i ain’t much of a batman fan but that one was enjoyable. i like christian slater as well, but i never got to see his show. maybe i can find episodes online somewhere (cause i don’t do cable)

re athena’s comment: i just watched tropic thunder last week or so and i was sooooooo surprised that was tom cruise…honestly, his best role to date for me cause it wasn’t tom cruise playing tom cruise playing whatever role he was doing. i was pleasantly surprised. i highly recommend this movie, really. funny!

anyway, glad things are “smoothing out” for you, chicky. hopefully, you’ll be around online a bit more cause i sure miss ya!

It’s so, so good to see you back around. :) I’m glad to hear that the Estroven’s helped you and your hot flashes, and that at least your New Year’s Eve was quiet. I’ll have my fingers crossed that you make enough to move out from under your “wonderful” neighbors.

Movies: I lovedloved “The Dark Knight” too, and got that for OD for Christmas… I’ll have to borrow it soon. I agree with you about the X-Files movie…. really didn’t like it at all, and am sad that that’s the note they’re going out on. I loved “Tropic Thunder”, and I died laughing every time Tom Cruise’s character was onscreen. What a killer character, and that dancing! “Hellboy 2″ was okay- I love Guillermo del Toro but I prefer the first Hellboy film. I haven’t seen “Sunshine” yet, but I plan to- Danny Boyle’s a great director.

yeah, i hate those farking hot flashes — that is some major suckage, right there. glad to hear you’ve got them under some kind of control. i’ve done the same thing — hung my head out the window, open the door in the middle of a blizzard, stuck my head in the freezer…i’ll have to try the washcloth tip, that’s a good one.

It’s one of the things that scares me about credit cards. I don’t tend to buy anything I can’t pay for in cash. If only there was a bit more of that.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a fun show. It builds on the Terminator mythology nicely, and it keeps you guessing. I’ve never seen any of those other shows.

And, yes, life can be pretty fine.

Wow! I used to always say my identity wasn’t worth stealing…it still isn’t to be honest. So steal away. Maybe I need a new identity to start a new life (wonder if I could get the last 20 years back to go along with it?)

Sorry to hear about your family’s problems. Maybe you should try a fictionalized version.

I think you do need a job, get out and interact with other people if nothing else. Too much of being cooped up can really affect the depression. Of course I can say this because I know.

See, I kept checking here and checking here for a new entry and nothing. Then when I don’t (as is usually the case) you finally make one…LOL…

Oh, I hear you about the credit cards. Thank god I have cards where they stay on top of these things. I’ve gotten a number of calls like that and I am always so greatful.

And you know…I haven’t seen any of the shows you mentioned? It’s sad. I used to wait and wait and wait for fall preview when I was a kid. Now, I just seem stuck in a rut with my usual shows. Ah well.

Wow, thank goodness the credit card thing did turn out better than it could have. You remember the mess with OD’s debit card last year. Like blouie2, I’ve never had a problem with online purchases, but *something* had to have happened with you.

Maybe writing a book about your family is just the therapy you need. I know your last story was really good reading- wasn’t a family member, but still.

I watched one episode of Fringe. I can barely remember to turn the t.v. on Tuesday nights before nine, but I do hope to catch it again.

i used my credit card at a supermarket one night and in the morning my credit card company called me about some suspicious activity. the clerk i gave my card to held it longer than i was comfortable with as he talked to another employee. i’ve never had problems using a card online, however.
nice to see you typing on wordpress again!
